Øyvind Weiseth – Inside Our Minds

Project Outline: Though Horus Music I was asked to promote Øyvind Weiseth’s single Inside Our Minds during a 6-week radio and marketing promotional effort.

Date: February 2017 – March 2017.

Work completed:One of my colleagues and I would be working together to help promote Øyvind’s single through digital radio and online marketing efforts. This included planning an effective release strategy and for all of us to effectively work and communicate with each other throughout. A social media analysis was also conducted before we began so that Øyvind would have the knowledge he needed to help him succeed on social media. 

Øyvind would also be releasing a music video at the start of the third week of the campaign.

 

About

Øyvind Weiseth is a Norwegian singer / songwriter who writes sunset pop in both English and Norwegian.

Taking inspiration from artists such as Kings of Leon, Coldplay and Bernhoft, ‘Inside Our Minds’ consists of intricate melodies, delicate vocals and perfect harmonies alongside featured vocalist Hege Nesset.

Øyvind’s brand of guitar driven indie pop perfectly showcases his musical ability. Having moved from his native Norway to study at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, it’s clear to see his years of studying have paid off.

His previous release ‘Hold On’ was played on radio in the US, Germany, Australia and UK. Before that, ‘Eventyr’ received airplay on Norwegian radio including NRK1, NRK Møre as well as Romsdal radio. At the start of 2016, Øyvind made it to the finals of the renowned Norwegian music competition ‘Musikkprisen’, in which ‘Highasakite’ won in 2011. He then embarked on a nationwide tour before heading to New York City to play at Rockwood Music Hall.

With ‘Inside Our Minds’ Øyvind creates an infectious single which builds towards a crescendo and leaves you wanting more. The song was premiered in an acoustic rooftop performance on The 2ube.

‘Inside Our Minds’ by Øyvind Weiseth is being independently released through Horus Music, and will be available worldwide on 24th March 2017.

A full hand-drawn, animated music video will also be released on 6th March 2017.
